Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Site Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, management and oversight of the after school program. The Site Coordinator is the front line of our work, supporting students, and program staff.
Some of the primary responsibilities are outlined below but are not limited to:
- The Site Coordinator will communicate, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures of AYA as dictated with the collaboration of the District and the grant requirements.
- Create a smooth transition between instructional day and expanded learning program.
- Ensure that the environment, programs and services offered to students are safe, relevant, engaging, and enriching.
- Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community organizations.
- Excellent initiative and problem-solving ability.
- Evaluate, manage, and mentor 6-10 program staff.
- Meet with program staff on a regular basis, including one-on-one check-ins and group meetings.
- Resolve conflicts, disputes, and concerns with staff, students, parents, and school personnel.
- Manage all incident reports and ensure that they are properly documented.
- Maintain daily attendance records, ensure that all attendance deadlines are met.
- Approve site staff timesheets with all deadlines.
- Ensures that staff turn in lesson plans and other compliance work in a timely manner.
- Follow meal distribution procedures as dictated by District's Nutrition Services.
- Attend mandatory District and AYA meetings.
- May perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Program Director.
Requirements:
- At least one year experience in a supervisor role.
- At least two years experience working with school age children, preferably in an after school setting.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication skills and team orientation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- First-Aid/CPR Certified or must be attained within 90 days of employment.
- Criminal background clearance, including live scan fingerprints and TB.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Commit for an entire school year.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday. Hours: 6.5 - 8.0 hours per day.
- Possibility of a split shift with before school morning program based on site placement.
